Hi Phillip,
Yes, early March would be the ideal time to plant this mix.

Hi JoAnn,
For the best results we suggest the following.
Select a sunny location and plant during the early spring or fall in mild climates. Loosen the soil with a rake or hoe. Mix the seeds with a cup of sand or some other inert material and simply broadcast this mix over the planting area. Then lightly rake the seeds into the soil or cover them with peat moss or a similar light mulch. You should keep the soil moist until the plants begin to grow.

In terms of planting rates 1 ounce will plant around 200 square feet.

If you have any more questions or comments please don't hesitate to ask.

Cheers

How deep do you plant the seeds? How many seeds per hole? How far apart?
Thanks!

Hi Joe,
The only thing I can suggest is to spray it with Round Up in the Spring and then disk the ground after the Broom Sedge is dead and then plant your pasture to what what you require. Note that you may have to spray a couple of times.

Hope this helps.

Hi Steve,
At this time we're not in the market for lovegrass as we've just harvested a good crop ourselves. The demand for seed will start about December, January. At the moment there is a lot of lovegrass available but unfortunately there is little demand so it's very hard to give you a price. It could end up being anything from 50 cents a pound to two dollars a pound on a clean seed and based on good germination. It's impossible to say. If you have any questions give me a call toll free 1 800 826 3655.
Thanks,
Freddie Lorenz
