Clasping Coneflower (Rudbeckia amplexicaulis) is a spectacular, beautiful and easy-to-grow flower. Plants bear large 2 1/2″ /7 cm. blossoms of yellow and red on slender stems 8-24″/20-61 cm. tall. Plant in areas with poor drainage.
Select a sunny location for the Clasping Coneflower and plant in moist soil during early spring (recommended in mild climates). For best results, loosen soil with rake or hoe. Mix seeds with a cup of sand or other inert material and broadcast over planting area. Lightly rake seed into soil or cover with peat moss or similar light mulch. Keep soil moist until plants begin to grow.
Clasping Coneflower requires little care. Water only when necessary.
